Jule Marie Smith
We were extremely proud to have Jule Marie Smith as our featured artist this year at Hooked in the Mountains IX rug show. Julie is not just master of the dye pot, she makes it sing. Julie weaves her magic into her rugs before she ever starts to hook. She brews her wools, maybe four pots at a time and she produces colors like no others and then she takes those beauties and designs her glorious rugs. Those of us who have been lucky enough to be in Julie’s class, know that she has a special quality, her ability to bring out the best in you. She will talk to you about your work and force you to face your own demons and create what before, you had thought impossible. We offer you the opportunity to study Julie’s fiber art at your leisure and to grow and learn somewhat like being with Julie.
